Charitable Work
Here at Ink & Ivy, we care about our community and the relationships we form with our clients; many of them return to us as friends for regular self-care sessions. We also take great pride in our fundraising and charity work.

We have hosted a St. Baldrick’s Shave event, March for the Cure, every year since we opened. St. Baldricks funds research for children’s cancer treatments and the best thing is that all the funds raised in the 518 stays right here- to be used to help our kids and our neighbor’s kids when a devastating diagnosis such as cancer has been made. We continue to support St. Baldricks every year and our event gets better and better every time! To date, we have raised over 15k in support of childhood cancer research!

We take so much pride in supporting our community through hard times, tough diagnosis and uphill battles. Our first fundraising event was on the behalf of a local teen getting treatments for Leukemia. We raffled off over 30 baskets and gift certificates from local businesses, and we donated the proceeds from a “Salon-a-Thon” to the family; totaling over 4k.

We also like to spread the love and donate baskets and gift cards to other local non-profits such as the Altamont, Duanesburg and Berne-Knox Westerlo PTO’s, Altamont Community Traditions (ACT), The Guilderland Library, The Caring Closet Guilderland, Out of the Pits Inc., The Mohawk-Hudson Humane Society and others!
In addition to these worthy charities, we have proudly sponsored teams out of Guilderland and Berne-Knox Westerlo. Our youth is our future and we are happy to play a part in the everyday lives of our communities!
